In the Afterlife, wise Old Souls who have Lived and Died can volunteer to escort an infantile, helpless Young Soul to be reborn. Following this dangerous journey, the Young Soul begins Life anew and the Old Soul is blessed with youth — and an opportunity to reborn themselves — for their good deed.

Play as an Old Soul accompanying a Young Soul through four* levels where you must make pathways for the Young Soul to reach the end unharmed. Use your mouse to possess physics-based blocks to open doors, slide platforms, and carry the Young Soul to the Hall of Rebirth.

Beforelife Afterlife won first place in the Golden Bear Spring 2025 Game Jam! The original submission has been left untouched, but an updated version that fixes some notable bugs has been uploaded too.
